The deconstruction of the water tank used by Cape Meares residents since 1981 should be compete by the end of the day on Friday, September 26.

The picture above was taken at the end of the day on September 25.  It has taken less than a week to complete the project.

The base of the tank is metal and what it sits on is likely crushed stone.  A ring of concrete had been poured around the bottom of the tank.  The bottom of the tank was clearly tilted in a northwest direction.
