Security Protocol

Recent research regarding security considerations for a community after a disaster look at two areas of focus:

1. Security of supplies

2. Security of the family unit

After a major event, our community will most likely be isolated with roads and possibly trails blocked by landslides or water. The bad news is that there will be no way out.  The good news is that it will be challenging to get in. Therefore, community security will hopefully be last on our list of post disaster considerations. Says Pollyanna.

  1. Research for safeguarding supplies after a disaster discusses trip wires that explode to warn of  trespassers, human security rotations, and battery operated cameras.
  2. Research for safeguarding the family unit is as above with the use of firearms.  Each community member needs to decide what safeguarding the family unit requires. Our community and emergency preparedness group will not define what level of security each individual might embrace. Let us assist anyone who needs assistance. Yet, let us prepare for the scenario of aggressive invasion.
