After the Great Oregon ShakeOut in 2013, Mr. Steen composed a scenario of what his day might have been like if the drill had been “real.” He has submitted the document for review here and wishes to encourage others in the community who participate in the ShakeOut to write about their experiences and share these experiences with him. Participating in this drill is a good way to determine your readiness level for a major earthquake and a tsunami. You are encouraged to review and update plans and supplies for a major disaster.
